Gio Rossi

Drummer, composer and arranger Gio Rossi is known as one of the finest European jazz and blues drummers. He performed with Joey de Francesco, Larry Taylor, Alex Schultz, Alberto Marsico, Sugar Ray Norcia, Jesse Davis, Enrico Crivellaro, Laura Fedele, Bruce Katz, Egidio Ingala, Bruno Micheli, Tad Robinson and several other American and European musicians.

He participated at many important festivals such as North Sea Jazz Festival (The Netherlands ) Cognac Blues Festival (France) Manly Jazz Festival (Australia) and Ascona Jazz Festival (Switzerland) .

Gio Rossi played also in New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Sydney, Singapore, Kuala Lampur, Oslo, Wien, Paris, Berlin, Dresden, Zagreb, Praha, Rome, Oxford, Moscow and many other cities travelling all around the world and recording many CD's.
He is also a pianist and bass player,he holds a master in "arranging and composing" for big bands. Gio Rossi usually plays with his Black Onyx Rogers (1964). His drumming and his personal sound are well known, he is indicated as a "perfect drummer" for Blues and Swing.
