Big Band

Playing with a Big Band is one of the more important experiences for a jazz musician. I had played with the New Forties Big Band, and the Paolo Tomelleri Big Band as well as other orchestras. The photo shows my favourite Big Band : the Count Basie Orchestra.
Reading Charts
I developed my sight reading ability playing with big bands, orchestras and various ensembles. I also had experience playing classical music while attending the Music Conservatory of Milan.
Arrangements
I have a Master's Degree in arranging and composing for big band. I wrote arrangements for several ensembles, including Laura Fedele's octet with a wonderful brass section formed by Paolo Tomelleri, Emilio Soana, Beppe Caruso and Gilberto Tarocco. Altought I 'm able to write charts using pencil & paper , I prefer to write arrangements using a software : "Finale".
